French chest of drawers Louis Philippe late 19th century. The wood is of the bramble of walnut. Walnut brambles are flamed because they have many aesthetic designs. These drawings have complex, highly contrasting patterns and intricate veins on a naturally dark background of varying intensities. This dresser is equipped with five drawers. The fifth drawer is a secret drawer hidden in the complaint of the furniture. The drawers are mounted dovetail ensuring perfect strength. The drawers can be opened daily and hold many sometimes heavy objects. They slide perfectly. The back of the dresser has solid wood panels so very resistant. The entrances are heart entrances.
